Bad Manners set to rock The Leopard

Following the recent re-opening of The Leopard, the famous Doncaster music venue has announced a line-up of gigs including 80s’ ska-punk band Bad Manners.

Along with a number of exciting new acts headlining the hub of entertainment on West Street, Buster Bloodvessel and the rest of the legendary Bad Manners band will be bringing the house down on December 16.

The boisterous group were regular guests on television shows in the 1980s and had hits with songs including ‘My Girl Lollipop’, ‘Lip Up Fatty’, ‘Can Can’ and ‘Special Brew’.

The Leopard re-opened in August after Doncaster Conferencing, Catering and Events Ltd (DCCE) who run the gigs, conferences and bars for Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust (DCLT), signed a lease.

The pub, which had previously been one of the borough’s highest profile venues for music for decades, will also be showcasing performances from a mix of other artists this year.

Metal band Fed To The Ocean will play one of the shows on their farewell tour on October 27, and blues rock troupe Virgil and the Accelerators take to the stage on October 31.

Since re-opening, the Leopard has been newly refurbished and DCCE and DCLT are also looking to broaden the events portfolio with offerings of comedy and cinema.
